The second LowTEMP 2.0 online seminar in Latvia on 10th May 2021 was mainly addressed to District Heating (DH) operators and District Heating associations and led by the academic staff of the Institute of Energy Systems and Environment, Riga Technical University (RTU IESE). The selected topics were: introduction to energy supply systems and low-temperature district heating, pilot testing measures in the LowTEMP project, Life Cycle Costs of low-temperature projects and best practices from the LowTEMP project. According to the 39 participants, the discussed topics in the seminar had practical relevance and the quality of the presentations was high.
More than five local DH operators attended the second seminar in Latvia: among others Ludza, Jurmala, Valmiera, Jēkabpils and Salaspils. The final discussion focused on the practical application of the proposed low-temperature solution within the specific case of the DH operators. A survey was also done in order to understand which of the presented best practice examples could be implemented best in a local context.
